International Support Gathers Behind Pakistan Amid Indian Aggression

As India launched unprovoked missile strikes on Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir, the global response has overwhelmingly leaned toward supporting Pakistan’s call for peace, restraint, and justice—while condemning India’s reckless aggression.

Pakistan, demonstrating maturity and commitment to peace, responded diplomatically, calling for an international investigation into the April 22 Kashmir incident. Despite the tragic loss of life and destruction caused by Indian strikes, Pakistan avoided escalation and chose global diplomacy over retaliation.

Türkiye was among the first to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Pakistan. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan hailed Pakistan’s restraint and expressed full solidarity with Islamabad. Turkey reaffirmed its unwavering support for Pakistan’s position on the Kashmir dispute and condemned India’s attempts to destabilize the region.

Azerbaijan, a brotherly nation and consistent supporter of Pakistan, continues to back Islamabad on the international stage. Although no new statement has been issued regarding this latest escalation, Azerbaijan has repeatedly voiced full support for Pakistan’s position on Kashmir and opposed India’s occupation of the region.

In a significant development, U.S. President Donald Trump broke from typical U.S. neutrality and publicly condemned India’s actions, calling them “shameful”. He urged for an immediate end to hostilities and praised Pakistan’s diplomatic approach, stressing that the world cannot afford another conflict between nuclear-armed nations.

Crucially, no major country apart from Israel expressed support for India’s aggression. Israel, long aligned with India militarily, backed India’s right to “self-defense,” despite widespread concern over civilian deaths in Pakistan. Its support was widely seen as biased, driven by geopolitical interests rather than objective principles.

Meanwhile, major global players including China, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United Nations have all urged restraint, called for dialogue, and avoided endorsing India’s military actions—highlighting New Delhi’s growing isolation.

As the world watches, Pakistan’s principled and peaceful approach continues to earn respect. The international community must now come together to prevent further aggression, ensure justice for Kashmir, and hold India accountable for its destabilizing actions.
