LAHORE: International journalist, policy advisor, and Editor-in-Chief of The Advocate Post, Abdul Rafay Afzal, held a productive meeting with the Honourable Governor of Punjab, in Lahore.
The meeting was also accompanied by by Afzal Talib, General Secretary of the Lahore Press Club, and senior politician and prominent leader of Pakistan People’s Party , Mian Aziz Ur Rehman Chan.
During the meeting, discussions focused on the evolving political dynamics of Punjab, governance matters, public engagement, media affairs, and contemporary political developments in the province. The participants also exchanged views on institutional strengthening, democratic continuity, and the importance of constructive dialogue between political leadership, civil society, and the media.
Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan shared insights regarding ongoing public welfare initiatives and administrative priorities within the province, while emphasising the significance of political stability, inclusive governance, and public-centric policymaking.
Abdul Rafay Afzal appreciated the Governor’s role and engagement in provincial affairs, highlighting the importance of interaction between policymakers, journalists, and public stakeholders in strengthening democratic discourse and informed national dialogue.
The meeting concluded with mutual goodwill and a shared commitment towards positive engagement on matters concerning governance, media, and public interest.
