Lahore, Pakistan: Abdul Rafay Afzal, Editor-in-Chief of The Advocate Post and President of the Civil Society Network Pakistan (Youth), called on Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan at the Governor House Lahore.

Governor Haider Khan praised The Advocate Post for its active role in promoting global dialogue and raising awareness about critical international issues. He lauded the publication’s commitment to enhancing Pakistan’s international standing through informed journalism and civil society initiatives.
During the discussion, the Governor addressed the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, stating that
“Pakistan is prepared to give a memorable response to any hostility—one that will be remembered for decades.”
The meeting also included deliberations on strengthening educational diplomacy. Abdul Rafay Afzal proposed fostering collaborations between universities in Punjab and international institutions to support student development and global academic exchange.
Governor Punjab advised Mr. Afzal to proactively initiate work on these university collaborations, assuring full support. He expressed his backing for this educational initiative as part of Pakistan’s soft diplomacy and unwavering commitment not only with West but “Focus Africa” policy and broader international engagement efforts.
Afzal also extended a formal invitation to the Governor on behalf of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) to attend the upcoming 2nd National Freelancers Award Ceremony. The Governor accepted the invitation and appreciated the efforts of both Abdul Rafay Afzal and the LCCI in promoting Pakistan’s freelance and tech sectors, emphasizing their crucial role in the country’s economic transformation.
