Hargeisa: Editor-in-Chief of The Advocate Post, international journalist, lawyer, and global affairs and policy advisor Abdul Rafay Afzal held an official meeting with Mohamed Abdirahman, Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somaliland, during his second official visit to Somaliland.
The meeting took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where both sides discussed a range of issues related to the functioning and strategic role of the ministry in advancing Somaliland’s diplomatic outreach and international engagement. Discussions focused on foreign policy coordination, institutional development, and the evolving role of Somaliland in regional and global affairs.
During the meeting, Abdul Rafay Afzal congratulated Director General Mohamed Abdirahman on the establishment of the Institute of Diplomacy and International Affairs of Somaliland, terming it a significant step toward strengthening diplomatic capacity, research, and policy development within the ministry. He emphasized that such initiatives play a crucial role in enhancing professional training and informed policymaking in international relations.
