Hargeisa, Somaliland – Abdul Rafay Afzal, Editor-in-Chief and President of the Civil Society Network Pakistan, held a high-level meeting with Mr. Abdifatah Ismail Dualeh, Director General (DG) of Somaliland’s Ministry of Investment & Industrial Development, during his official visit to Somaliland. The visit was facilitated by an invitation from the Somaliland government, underscoring the growing ties between Pakistan and Somaliland.

The discussions centered on strengthening bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, and industrial development, with a particular focus on leveraging the active Pakistani diaspora in Somaliland for economic collaboration. Both leaders explored opportunities for joint ventures, skill exchange programs, and policy frameworks to enhance business and industrial growth.

Mr. Afzal commended Somaliland’s progressive economic policies and expressed Pakistan’s interest in deepening engagement in key sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, and infrastructure development. The DG reaffirmed Somaliland’s commitment to fostering international partnerships and creating an investor-friendly ecosystem.
