The Advocate Post: Lahore, SOFTEC 2025, Pakistan’s largest student-led technology event, concluded with overwhelming success at the FAST National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (FAST-NUCES), Lahore Campus. The event reached a new milestone under the visionary leadership of Dr. Sumaira Sarfraz, Director of FAST Lahore, whose unwavering support and strategic guidance elevated this year’s edition to unprecedented heights. Her commitment to innovation, student empowerment, and academic excellence was widely praised throughout the event.
Held from April 25 to 27, the three-day tech festival drew over 20,000 students from across the country, setting a new record for participation. For the second year in a row, The Advocate Post partnered as the official media collaborator, reaffirming its dedication to promoting youth-led innovation and technological advancement.
SOFTEC is Pakistan’s one of the biggest Student Led Initiatives Lead by Muhammad Rafay, Muhammad Hashir, Maham Cheema, Eemaan Ahmad, Ammar Yar Khan, Noor ul Ain and others this Year.
Day 1 Highlights:
The event opened with a National Cinematography Competition, offering young creators a platform to express their talent through film. Later, the audience was treated to a compelling performance by FAST’s drama society DRAMAF, which delivered a theatrical experience full of energy and creativity.

The second day began with an inspiring Opening Ceremony and an engaging International Tech Conference, where industry experts and tech enthusiasts discussed emerging technologies and future trends. Key competitions included:

Prominent IT companies hosted interactive booths, allowing students to connect with professionals and explore career opportunities. The day ended with a spirited Musical Night, adding celebration to innovation.

The event wrapped up with a celebratory Closing Ceremony, where winners were awarded PKR 2 million in cash prizes.
