SOFTEC 2025, Pakistan’s largest student-organized technology event, hosted at the FAST National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, Lahore Campus, reached its grand conclusion today, Sunday, April 27.
The three-day event, which began on April 25, witnessed an overwhelming response with over 20,000 students from across the country participating in various competitions, exhibitions, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Day 1 Highlights
The opening day featured a nationwide Cinematography Competition, attracting creative minds from various universities. The day also included a light-hearted and entertaining theatre performance presented by DRAMAF, which received great applause from the audience.
Day 2 Highlights
The second day kicked off with the Opening Ceremony followed by an International Tech Conference. A wide array of competitions were held including UI/UX Design, IX (Interface Xtreme), IdeasXtreme, TechInn, FIFA Tournament, Machine Learning Challenge, and the engaging CAD War.
Prominent IT companies from across the country participated, offering students direct interaction with industry professionals. The day wrapped up with a vibrant Musical Night, thoroughly enjoyed by all attendees.
Day 3 Highlights
The final day of SOFTEC 2025 showcased some of the most anticipated competitions including:
- Roborumble – where engineering enthusiasts battled it out in robot combat.
- App Development Challenge – students pitched innovative mobile solutions.
- Data Visualization (Round 2) – showcasing analytical skills through compelling data stories.
- Engineering Project Exhibition – featuring cutting-edge hardware and software innovations.
- Web Development Competition – testing design, speed, and functionality.
- Cyber Security Contest – a test of digital defense strategies and ethical hacking skills.
These high-stakes competitions were followed by an insightful Panel Talk featuring prominent figures from the tech industry, discussing the future of technology, innovation in Pakistan, and opportunities for young professionals.
The event concluded with a Closing Ceremony, celebrating the winners and applauding the dedication of participants and organizers alike.
