America’s Security Lapses

Assassination attempt on Trump once again brought the issue to the forefront and analysts attribute this uncertain situation to the traditional scope of America. On 13 July, Trump accrued a crowd of hundreds of thousands and he was pompous by the time he was delivering the speech. According to a report, the secret service received $3.1 billion by the fiscal year 2024; despite a whopping amount they are receiving, they have failed to protect Trump. Trump assassin was 20 years old Mathew Crook had no criminal history but the reason is yet to come that what made him that much furious on Trump.

Moreover, the Trump attack is a usual feat of America as we dig down in history a long list of high officials in America who have been assassinated. Adding to this, Abraham Lincoln, a radical president changed the basic tenets of America which had hindered America by moving forward. Abraham Lincoln was shot dead during Ford’s theatre film in Washington DC by a confederate sympathizer John Wilkes Booth.

Similarly, H James A.Garfield was shot at the Baltimore and Potomac Railroad station in Washington, DC on July2, 1881.He was 20th president of America who succumbed to death by the hand of assassin Charles J. Guiteau. Moreover, presidents and other popular personalities like William McKiinley(1901), John F.Kennedy(1963), Robert F.Kennedy(1968), Martin Luther King and many more have gone in the malicious campaign of assassination.

Moreover, a long list of those who survived assassination but did not kill like Theodore Roosevelt (1912), Ronald Reagan (1981) and yet an attempt to assassinate Trump.

It is beyond understanding that if a president who is considered the most powerful person of the world is not secure in America what can one presume about the local indigenous who are bearing the brunt of these messes. The most recent available figures, those for 2021, show that 48,830 people died from gun related injuries in the US. These figures entangled one in deep slumber that in such a high risk situation how miserably and unsecure would the people live there in America.

A holistic and serious approach to these uncertain situations shows that security is a paramount factor presenting the picture of the entire system. A largely anticipated anathema that America has high tech technologies still does not provide security to its top tier leaders who are supposedly their heroes. Would it be wrong to put the US into the box of those countries whose grave security problems are their feat?
