Karachi: To determine the causes of several “mysterious deaths” in Karachi, the Sindh Interior Minister has launched an immediate investigation on the case. Expressing their condolences over the deaths, Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar, the Interior Minister of Sindh, has made an order of urgent investigation to find out the causes.
The interior minister has stated that K-electric administrators will be directly held accountable for the deaths if evidence of prolonged load shedding as the primary cause turns up during investigation. Earlier that Tuesday, several dead bodies were found all across Karachi, this being the third consecutive day that bodies were discovered, and three more bodies have reportedly been unveiled from different points in the city.
The bodies were found on pedestrian footpaths in the areas of Manghopir, Orangi Town, and Gulshan-e-Maymar, said rescue officials.
As for their identities, the body found in Orangi No.12 was determined to be 50-year-old Munawar, which was later transported to the hospital, while the other two victims, a 50-year-old man found in Gulshan-e-Maymar area and a 35-year-old man found near the Manghopir canal, are yet to be identified. Professionals are restlessly trying to find out the identities of the deceased, as well as the exact causes and circumstances surrounding their deaths. As investigations are proceeding, rescue officials are continuing their monitor on the situation.
