Eleven terrorists were killed and their multiple hideouts were also busted during an intelligence-based operation in LakkiMarwat district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, the Inter-Services Public Relation(ISPR) said in a statement on Tuesday.
Following a recent manufactured blast in the same district that took away the lives of seven courageous soldiers, including Subedar Major Muhammad Nazir and Captain Muhammad Faraz Ilyas, the intelligence-based operation was conducted. To get rid of any other terrorists in the area, a sanitization operation is being conducted.
The ISPR reaffirmed in its statement that it is committed to removing terrorism as a national threat.
In the course of a successful operation against terrorists, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended the security forces for taking out eleven militants in the Lakki Marwat district.
In a statement issued today, he further stated that the operation was successfully completed by courageous Pakistani security forces personnel who put their lives in danger to stop terrorists.
Security forces have continuously proven to be a reliable deterrent to terrorism, according to the prime minister. The security forces have the backing of the entire nation in their fight against terrorism, he asserted.
Shehbaz Sharif also paid respects to Pakistan Army veterans and martyrs. He declared,
“We are dedicated to eliminating terrorism completely.”
Seven security guards passed away by an IED blast on Sunday. Capt. Faraz Ilyas, Subedar Major Muhammad Nazir, Lance NaikHussain Ali, Sepoy Asad Ullah, and Sepoy Rashid Mehmoodwere the martyrs recognized by the ISPR.
“Those accountable for this heinous crime would be held accountable. In a press release, the ISPR noted, “Our armed forces in Pakistan are determined in their determination to stamp out the danger of terrorism, and the valiant contributions made by our soldiers only deepen our resolve.”
