Iran has launched a retaliatory drone attack on Israel, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). The drones, originating from Iran, are expected to reach Israel, situated approximately 1,100 miles (1,800km) away, in a matter of hours. In response, Israeli forces are on high alert, closely monitoring all potential targets.
Tensions between Iran and Israel have surged following an attack on the Iranian consulate in Syria on April 1, which Iran attributed to Israel and resulted in the deaths of several Iranian commanders. Iran’s pledge to retaliate has heightened anticipation for reprisal actions.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu affirmed the readiness of Israel’s defensive systems and its preparedness for any scenario, both defensively and offensively. Netanyahu also expressed appreciation for the support of the United States, Britain, France, and other allied nations.
